Don't worry, I am trying to make an appointment with my GP but missed the appointments for this morning. Just thought I would ask if anyone has had anything similar and if I am rightfully worried

These pains started many years ago if I'm honest, at least 6 years ago.

They don't happen very often at all but this episode has left me tender and concerned, hence trying to get an appt.

This was set off by me lying on the sofa then bending up to put my squash on the table. Its like a spasm/cramp/tight pulling/twisting that lasts about 4 seconds under my ribs on the left.

The only organs I can think are there is my spleen.

That side of my tummy almost feels like I have a bubble in it!

The pains can be brought on my a very intense stretch or sometimes when I bend over.

I am worried. I dont think its heart related, that would be more in the chest area. It really takes the wind out of me!

My DP says she gets them now and again but I think she is just trying to make me feel better.

I do have general health anxiety disorder - not to the point where I go to A&E or see the Doctor all the time. But I do think my anxiety triggers my aches and pains.

I have to wait at least 24 hours for an appointment so if anyone can put my mind at rest that would be great!

BTW I have seen a GP about it before and he said it sounded muscular but I shouldn't be having it for so long surely, unless I am prone to this.

I get this if I bend over or twist as I'm doing a big stretch in bed or something.

I just think of it as a muscle that starts to spasm, so I straighten us really quickly and it passes. I get the same on the left side of my back sometimes.

Never occurred to me to worry about it really.

Thanks for this. Is it like a tugging pain?

I have to breath slowly.

If I didnt have health anxiety I probably wouldn't worry either!

Sometimes it's exhausting being me!

P.S you have made me feel a bit better

I get this a lot. Tends to come on in cycles, ie a lot over a few months, then nothing for a year, then it will come back. Feels really tight for a few minutes and I can literally see it bulging inside my stomach, then it relaxes. I think it's some sort of spasm in my intestines, and I've probably set it off by leaning on it when bending forwards. I've had it for about 10 years and I'm still here so don't think it's a problem.

Tabby thats it, almost like acramp and feels like something is flipping or twisting. Phew I feel more relaxed already.

I will go to the doctor though!
