Getting older is shite. I can't seeeee properly!

It's so annoying.

I have always prefered removing my specs (shortsighted) to read but now, I spend half the day with my glasses perched on the top of my head.

Using the laptop is the worst. It's at one and the same time too close for me to see clearly with my glasses on AND too far away to see clearly with my glasses on.

As is looking at menus and seeing my dinner when it arrives.

Back to the opticians on Thurs, to fork out more for a new prescription. It's either varifocals or 2 pairs of specs as I teach and constantly have to swap between reading up close and distance vision.

Getting older is shite.

I hear you OP! I should prob have varifocals...there is a script with my name on it! BUT I have vertigo and am worried I will either fall over or take massive steps on/off kerbs or on stairs and fall over.....so have opted for lenses where one is hugely magnified! I am a nurse and am constantly wearing them on my head on my face or a patient is wearing them when I lose them! Thank feck my kindle can make letters bigger! ....though it means pressing the page turn thing every 2 seconds!

Oh yes and no garlic for me! Also if I sit doing computer stuff too long I am a hunch back when I stand up and if I am on my feet too long ditto!

On the plus side..Apparently(according to hairdresser) my greying hair is the sort that people PAY forGrin so that is goodHmmWink

TheBlessedCheesemaker You made me laugh so hard that DCat jumped off my lap in horror!
I had reading glasses from the age of 40. I have super glasses for work so I can see the computer screen and papers in front of it. I use cheapo glasses at home. A pair in every room and one pair either perched on the end of my nose or on my head. It drives me mad not being able to see things.
Off to the opticians soon as I'm sure I need a stronger prescription. What with failing eyesight, IBS, arthritis in my knees, night sweats and hot flushes I am living the dream!

Photo of menu is genius! Except I'd have to take a photo of my actual dinner too as that's a blur also.

My arms are just not long enough anymore.

Going for highlights Tues, but foils so no dye on scalp and no risk of reaction as a result. Marvellous
