Child staying indoors all day

DS is 3, nearly 4. Since he started walking I've taken him outside pretty much every day, either to the park at the end of our road, or the shops, or somewhere interesting. We don't have a garden. Live in a city centre.

We've just come back from holiday so don't have any playdates lined up really until we go back to nursery school in a few weeks.

Today and yesterday he didn't leave the house at all. He's entertained well enough, toys, play dough, books, but I always really worry about staying inside all day.

I was wondering how normal/healthy it is to spend all day inside, and how many days in a row is acceptable to stay inside for a 3 year old.

If we don't go out tomorrow it'll be 3 days in a row!

There is no right and wrong. I would think a three year old would have a lot of steam to burn off though after 3 days

One day is fine but I'd need some fresh air after a day. Even if it's just a walk somewhere.

As you haven't got a garden, I'd think you both need fresh air. Have you at least got friends or family with gardens?

If not, how about swimming? Library? Indoor play centre?

Pet shop/farm?

Agree that 1 day is ok but try and get out after that for both your sakes.
