What's been your best non-'big' day?

What was your best day, excluding the obvious 'getting married' or 'having a baby' days, just those ones that are ordinary but perfect?

One that comes to mind for me was a day in summer when ds1 was about 18 months old and (now ex)dp and I went to a car boot sale with him. It was lovely and sunny and ds1 was being so cute and we were talking and laughing all day. We bought ice creams from the van and it was ds1's first time trying it and he got absolutely covered - just a lovely simple day

Last summer. I went out the night before and was utterly hanging the next day. I had planned an evening at the beach with DP, no kids, just us a few drinks bbq and his guitar. We found a lovely spot in the dunes, the sunset was amazing, the moon was absolutely huge in the sky and space made DP was in his element. We drank, sang, ate, fed dogs (with permission!) who followed the smell of the food, paddled in the sea swigging from a bottle of rum and the waves were doing a really strange riptide thing close to the shore, completed with a sandy shag once darkness descended and no one was about 😂 was just such a lovely night and is remembered every time I go into our bedroom and see the picture of us that I took.

During the London Olympics I was heavily pregnant with DC1 and I remember eating a Chinese takeaway on the couch and watching tv on the Saturday night when lots of British medals were won. We had been for lunch earlier and the cinema the night before and I just don't know what it was but it's a couple of days that stick in my memory as being just amazing. I felt so relaxed and happy.
