Would I be crazy to consider this?

Currently 27 weeks pregnant with baby number 2. DS1 is 11 months old.

That being said, considering I'll be having a baby mid November AND then with 2 under 2... am I crazy to have applied for an access course for nursing and midwifery? I'm currently a senior carer at a nursing home and have been there for 6 years and it's something I've always wanted to do but I've always put it off for one reason or another. I've had enough now and I just WANT to do it.

Now I'm questioning the whole thing!! I've got so much support from both families so I know that won't be a problem. Is it possible?!? Will they even accept me?!? I don't want to get my hopes up!!

Will the course start in September? Dc2 will be 10months. That sounds doable. You can but try!

@KindergartenKop I originally applied for next September but DH and DM have told me to look into this year and to ask the college about taking a month off in November and have work sent home. It sounds insane just writing it! 🤣

Ultimately it's your decision but I would say enjoy your new baby while you can - they aren't little for long! I would rather be having newborn snuggles than writing essays. I would start Sept 2019.

I would say do it - it will be tough at times but it will be at any time. If you have support to deal with DC 1 you can work while the new born is sleeping. Good luck. (What an amazing example you will be setting to your DCs).
