M5 on Friday, v boring thread!

Hello,
We’re travelling from Worcester to Bridgwater on Friday morning and I’ve never travelled that route on the Friday before August BH. Any experiences of travelling between junction 6 and 24 of M5 over BH weekend plese? (Assuming “normal traffic) I’d rather leave v early than be sat in traffic for hours!

I live near the Bristol to Weston section. It is hell! Go as early as possible.

Don't do it!

If the motorway is closed then everything diverts onto the A38, which becomes a carpark.

I'd be like you! Leave at 5am for an easier journey and have breakfast when you get there.

On the journey back (if BH Monday!) stay the day and leave late.
