You will have missed most of the festival there maybe some things left on but the closing fireworks are great

See here for details of the fireworks concert www.eif.co.uk/whats-on/virgin-money-fireworks-concert. You don't need to buy a ticket to watch though as they close off Princes street so you can watch for free and there are speakers to hear the music.

You arrive on the last day of the festival op. There will be a fireworks display and pyrotechnics(I think it's called) displayed on the castles with time fireworks Above.
There may be some tickets left for the gardens but you don't have to pay. You can watch from Princess Street or wherever you can fit in the crowds.
If you look hard enough there is usually a viewing place set up for families with children further away in one of the parks in Old Town.

Otherwise there's still lots to do in Edinburgh and I imagine some street performers will still be hanging around.

Ah just seen its an overnight. If you want the best experience I would buy a ticket tbh. I never have but viewing for free and standing isn't all that great. Crap view, barely hear the music etc.

With the fireworks you can watch them from various places and listen to the music on the radio

There'll still be some stuff. I'd check out fringe guru. They're absolutely the best guide.
