what is the best biscuit?

I've been drawn into a 'thing' where we have to take turns bringing in biscuits on a Friday which get judged by the office on quality, price and taste.
I need to win!
What can I bring. Bought biscuits, no baking required.
Top ranking offers so far by others have included Waitrose Triple Chunk, Aldi Oaties (far better than chocolate HobNobs and lots cheaper) and something fancy from a farm shop.
I definitely need to win!

I don't eat biscuits often but I can never say no to shortbread or a Jaffa cake.

😂 Saggital could be on to something if op works in a cattery or veterinary clinic.

M&S Viennese fingers

daisychain01 · 19/08/2018 04:15

M&S Belgian chic biscuits. The ones in the gold box or tin.

They are lush. I'm thinking of getting some from Simply Food today as I have a 9am team meeting on Monday morning!

Simmers chocolate chip gingers
Walkers raspberry and white chocolate shortbread
Simmers Abernathy
Have chocolate fingers been ruined?

IndigoSpritz · 19/08/2018 04:45

Lotus Biscoff should go down well, especially if you can find the Belgian chocolate version.

McVities Dark Chocolate Thins

Duchy of Cornwall lemon shortbread, if they’re still available. Or something from the Waitrose 1 range of biscuits.

NoProbLlama78 · 19/08/2018 06:30

the ones in bakery section that are bendy and chewy and have things like smarties or big chunks of fudge in them

SnugglySnerd · 19/08/2018 06:46

Dark chocolate digestives. Classic and I would choose them over any fancy biscuits.

confusedandemployed · 19/08/2018 06:57

Lidl Deluxe all butter stem ginger cookies. I'm really no biscuit lover (usually never bother having them in the house) but I daren't buy these for fear of devouring the whole pack in one go. They are amazing.
Don't be fooled into thinking other brands will be just as nice. They aren't.

PanPanPanPing · 19/08/2018 06:57

M&S do some lovely biscuits a bit like Jaffa cakes. I can't remember what they call them, but they're smaller and oblong and come in a lemon & lime flavour as well as orange flavour.

MargotMoon · 19/08/2018 06:59

Second caramel chocolate digestives. But make sure they are from a shop with high turnover otherwise the caramel might be hard rather than gooey.

Or those fresh baked ones you get in supermarkets - usually 5 large cookies to a pack (salted caramel choc chip from Sainsbos or raisin oatmeal from Co-op are divine)

liquidrevolution · 19/08/2018 07:02

Lotus biscuits. Or as DD calls them, mummies biscuits.

flumpybear · 19/08/2018 07:08

Love those rectangle chocolate covered biscuits Leibniz I think they're called

Also Stroop waffles!!

Borders dark chocolate covered ginger biscuits.

Fudges or M&S florentines.

Shortbread - really nice version and make sure it's all butter and not shortcake, which is not the same.

Florentines especially could get expensive if there's more than a few of you to cater for because there are only 6/8 in a packet and they're not cheap.

Aldi half coated chocolate chip cookies are amazing
