I'd be more surprised if you could find one person who actually likes them.

Is that the ones where you build a raft?

I've always quite fancied doing that.

I think they are like most things in life to be honest.

Go into it with the right attitude and it can be a right old laugh.

Go into with a sour face on, and determined not to enjoy yourself then don’t be surprised if you hate it.

I normally enjoy them. But I've always worked with people I like and it's seen as a bit of fun. I wouldn't enjoy it if it was overly competitive.

It is't just about having the right attitude though.
Amongst others, I have done:

Murder mystery (ok but the boss was a complete cunt and carried it through to this event as well)
Quad biking - a lot of fun but same twatty boss
Building structures out of paper and whatnot - massive male egos dminating proceedings
Drumming (twice) - KILL ME NOW. Just awful.

The best team building for me has always been casual meals and drinks for people to meet socially and get to know the people rather than the competitive business personalities.

We went to Escape Rooms. And then got pissed. Was fab. Was with my small team though. 8 of us.
