KatoPotato · 18/08/2018 21:20

Deafly not crazy legs he looks more fun than this show!

It was definitely boring and I hated it when It came on! stuck in my mind Door as we only had about 15 minutes a day of TV to watch for kids.

I told you it was vague.. I can only remember end screen with crane at the bottom centre... I could maybe do a sketch

UselessTrees · 18/08/2018 21:23

James the cat? (I know it isn't, but just wanted to post the theme tune!)

TheSassyAssassin · 18/08/2018 21:23

Ooh yes...diagram would help! Grin

fuzzywuzzy · 18/08/2018 21:23

Mysterious cities of gold? Altho no long legged crane in it

MrsPussinBoots · 18/08/2018 21:24

Hair bear bunch?

MouseTheDog · 18/08/2018 21:24

Was it Animals of Farthing Wood? That was boring.

OhNoSpaghettiO · 18/08/2018 21:24

Animals of farthing wood? Orm & Cheep?

BuffysFavouriteStake · 18/08/2018 21:24

KlutzyDraconequus oh TG, I thought for years it was just me!!
dare I mention Ewoks?

Sorry, OP, totally sidetracked and have no idea about the crane, but I do really want to know now!

friskybivalves · 18/08/2018 21:25

Ludwig? It was staggeringly dull. Tootling woodwind theme tune and all about a kind of mystic egg.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludwig_(cartoon)

Airbiscuits · 18/08/2018 21:26

I know what you mean. It had Beethoven playing and was like a dodecahedron thing with legs and panels opened up and it played the violin? Was more late 70s though

And there was a bird

It was on BBC (I know it must have been as we weren't allowed to watch ITV until my parents divorced in 1981)

Was it called Ludwig?

ColdNeverBotheredMeAnyway · 18/08/2018 21:26

I can't believe it! NO ONE ever remembers Mysterious Cities of Gold! Or Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. Or Ulysses. Or Dungeons and Dragons for that matter.

I do!!! Loved Cities of Gold. I remember the theme tune well. And Ulysseeeeeeees. Dungeons and Dragons is one of the special ones which would probably make me cry if I saw it now because it was so precious.

No idea what Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors was though, sorry

heidipi · 18/08/2018 21:27

I was going to day Ludwig, the boring one with the violin?

WhatsInAnotherNameChange · 18/08/2018 21:28

Ludwig?

Strange silver multifaceted egg 'thing', that sprouted a variety of gadgets in the face of every set back.

A cross between Inspector Gadget and a Kinder egg.

ShackUp · 18/08/2018 21:28

friskybivalves · 18/08/2018 21:29
more Ludwig!
foxyliz26 · 18/08/2018 21:29

Trapdoor ?

Snotty Gilbert ?

Button Moon ?

Orm and Cheap ?

Waterlemon · 18/08/2018 21:29

Ah yes! I’m going with Ludwig as well

A metal ball thing that had windows/doors and things popped out of them

ShackUp · 18/08/2018 21:30

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors was indistinguishable from Ulysses (both animé type cartoons). It had machines that were also plants Confused

Waterlemon · 18/08/2018 21:30

Ludwig was an early Sunday morning cartoon

friskybivalves · 18/08/2018 21:30

With a patronising voiceover.

Airbiscuits, I wasn't allowed to watch ITV either. No bagpuss or Bod
