Just wondering if anyone has ever done any of the British Heart Foundation walks or similar?
Thinking of doing one myself if I pluck up the courage!

My parents do them - my dad's had heart disease for over 30 years. My mum joins in for the exercise and they take their dog with them too. Ages do vary from 40 upwards in their group but most in their 60s. They have a good time and meet up for meals as well so it can be quite social. I'd say they were very open and easy going so ok for exercise only but also if you want to chat too.

Done first aid cover on several of the long walks. People seem to really enjoy them and from what I’ve seen they are very well managed, but you really really do need to train and plan carefully for the long ones.
