What are the rainbows in my colon?

Lovely title; unlovely subject.

I was 'fortunate enough' to have a colonoscopy earlier in the week and watched the whole thing unfold on a screen.

Every now and then a rainbow would appear! What are those? I didn't like to ask the doctor!

They are just artifacts from the light the scope projects and the lens on the camera.

Or, just possibly, you have a very small unicorn living in there.
