Judging by name

There are a few threads about names for children, and invariably people associate names with character or style (old-fashioned, dull, frumpy, chav etc).
It got me to thinking about the phenomenon of making assumptions based on a name. I know it's illogical and wrong to do this, but I believe it's commonplace.

Sometimes we associate a name with a past experience involving a namesake. Sometimes good, often bad.

What's the name that gets your back up right away (and why), or gives you a warm fuzzy feeling (and why)?

Julians and Jonathans were always the posh boys.

Mandys always had lots of friends.

Brandons always naughty

Ellie-May/Mai/Mae always needed extra help.

I've never met a nice Karen.

Dave's are always bald!

Paul's are utter assholes and I'm not too keen on Christophers either.

I’ve never met a Melanie that I like.

Tim’s tend to be half go lucky types

Happy go lucky

I'm friends with a Karen and she's lovely!

Emma and Gemma and Jenna are all lovely, kind people.

Laura tends to be quirky and a bit unique, I knew four at school and they were all brilliant and fun to be around.

Tom is generally lovely.

I gave the villain in my book the name Ben because I don't like it (long story.) But I have met a nice one.

I've only met one Edwin and he was an arsehole.

I love the name Amy.
