Where to holiday with a 1 1/2 year old

Me and DH are wanting to go away next year for a week or so abroad. Our DD will be 1 and a half by then. We are looking for suggestions for places to go?

We went to Malta when DS was 20 months. We loved it & we'd definitely go back. We had an apartment as self catering was easier. It's really easy to get around with great bus services. Weather was lovely, warm but not too hot. Lots of things to do as well as playing on the beach.
