Witnessing a scam in front of my eyes

I'm on a train to London, two men in their 20s in suits just got on with two young girls. Sat down and the men have gone straight into the same old nonsense speech which remember from years ago when I fell victim to the same scam. The work they are doing is door to door sales for some pyramid scheme- they haven't actually told the girls this is what it is yet, just banging on about "law of averages" and "direct marketing".

I'm so tempted to intervene and tell the poor girls not to waste their time. When I did it it was a ten hour day of annoying people in their own homes, no toilet break, no food or drink etc. Or should I just let them learn the lesson the hard way?

What would you do?!?!

Yes I would-if you feel is safe to do so

Could you just lean in and say to the lads you remember when you were working this pyramid scheme with a wink and it seems nothings changed in however many years.

That way you're letting everyone know.

Ok, I've done it the somewhat cowardly way.

Called up my husband and loudly explained the situation and asked him what he thinks I can do. The conversation kind of quietened down for a bit and then they tentatively carried on. They may well stick the day out but at least they hopefully won't be sucked in to signing up!!!!!
