yes, they are probably a bit naff, but I quite fancy sending someone a batch nonetheless. Has anyone used anyone they'd recommend?

I've used Meg Rivers cakes a few times. The box of mini cakes have had enthusiastic feedback.

www.sponge.co.uk have always been a big hit here - I particularly like the apple crumble cake

I've used the english cheesecake in the past and they were great. When courier went wrong they refunded the lot and send us a extra cake the weekend after. Time after there were no issues

I’ve used Konditor and Cook for a London delivery, but I think some of their things can be delivered nationally, and also The Biscuiteers which went down very well.

Themerrygoroundoflife · 18/08/2018 09:55

I have. They went down well

Someone sent us a box of brownies from a company in Wales (helpful) just after our first baby was born and they were delicious and very welcome!

sickmumma · 18/08/2018 10:05

Oh my! I didn't realise this was a thing! ... goes off to order 50 billion cakes and hide in a cupboard away from the kids...

Aunty Gower Cottage Brownies? They're phenomenal. I've sent the chocolate cake box off moonpig and it was very well received!

viccat · 18/08/2018 10:14

The Yummy Yank brownies are amazing if you (or your recipient) likes really decadent brownies. The selection boxes (Nutty selection I think one is called) are great as a gift.

Gramgram · 18/08/2018 10:19

Gower cottage brownies are lovely. They also do gluten free of that is something that you need to consider.

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 18/08/2018 10:20

Ooh, thanks all. The Gower people were ones I was thinking of using. Glad to see they've been well received.

Blue Basil Brownies are literally awesome!

Enko · 18/08/2018 11:09

Anyone else ordering brownies now?

Stephisaur · 18/08/2018 11:21

I order brownies from the brownie bar for myself 😂

I second (or was it third or fourth?) Gower Cottage Brownies. They're very local to me, so I've bought and been gifted them a few times. Very nice indeed.
