Watching dozing througha terrible film on Netflix in bed and someone starts thumping my front door! Jumped out of my skin and bed, bravely looked out of window (no one there, security light off) so me and the dog go to investigate. Open door with chain on, dog starts growling. I'm freaked out about to shut the door and woman appears in the dark wanting to know if X street is nearby. (X street is miles away). I say no idea and she goes out through the garden gate. Sat here with my heart still thumping and very glad I have a barky Ddog!

Shit OP that would have me on edge all night.

Mainly because of all the doorstep crimes I've read about even though I'm sure it's perfectly innocent.

Anyone else home with you?

Glad you have your dog! I've 2 under 10 2 kittens and a teen none of which are any use to me today except as loud mess makers

Something similar happened to a friend of mine she was woke up by someone knocking early hours so she stuck her head out the window to see a man in a wheelchair on her drive (which is gravel) no idea how he got there without anyone hearing but it was at this point she felt the need to clarify she was not drunk and seeing things Confused
