Just that really - one of my favourite summer dresses - looks like I’ll need to bin it. Sad

White vinegar or lemon juice. Try that first then scrub with soap/washing up liquid then wash at highest possible temperature.
Stain devils will also do the trick if you can still buy those.

Sunlight. I put my work tops and DDs in the sun after washing & it definately works. Even if it fades 70% do it another couple of times and it will vanish.

Sunshine. Leave it hanging on the line for a few days. Works on breastfed baby poo stains too Smile

I've just just dr beckman prewash stain remover to get curry stains out of dds cream shorts. Didn't think I stood a chance but there isn't any stain there. And she'd covered them. And it was a couple of days before I washed them.

Vanish. The most expensive one. Says 100% of stains on the front.

Upholstery strength Vanish. Spray on, leave then wash as normal

Strong sunshine will get curry stains out. No need for chemicals.

Wash it and leave it out until it's gone.

Right thanks everyone - have put it out and waiting for the sun to come round - put some lemon juice on one of the reddish staines and it turned back to yellow- let the experiment begin.

Update - wow! Came back from beach and curry stains are gone - amazing. There is now a yellow stain where i put some lemon juice on one patch - hoping that will shift too. Can’t believe the darkish red curry staines are gone from practically white cotton though, How did I get to 50 not knowing this! 🧐

I told you! Ive been at the beach as well. Bloody lovely today.

I had some success with toothpaste, applied overnight to a tomato-based stain on a white top. In a hotel room you just have to try what you have around you!

I discovered the sunshine thing by accident - stain still there after washing but I’d taken the tshirt outside with the rest of the washing so hung it up anyway. Was bemused when I brought it in and the stain was gone!

witchofzog · 18/08/2018 22:45

Sunshine and heavy rain works too 😊

GreenTulips · 18/08/2018 23:39

I di the sunshine thing in the kids white shirts for a few days over half terms.
Works wonders
