Never wake a sleeping baby??

Little 3mo dc has started sleeping an 8 hour stretch most nights - I’ve read various bits and pieces online making me think I should be waking him to feed through the night? Would you do this? He’s healthy and a good weight. I guess it’s just a bit disconcerting really 🤔

Nope. He'll wake if he's hungry. End of story. Enjoy the sleep and I'd say "don't worry about such things" but my DD is 14 months and I still do the same EVERY SINGLE DAY.

No don’t wake him.

If he’s feeding well during the day, is alert, plenty of wet and soiled nappies and happy then enjoy the sleepSmile.

Not at 3 months I wouldn’t.

Thank you! I do seem to like to have something to worry about! Night all!

My LG started sleeping through the nights from 3 weeks old. I never woke her for feeds,we just let her sleep. If she was to wake we would have fed her, but if never happens. She’s now 5 months old healthy weight, feeds well in day time and still sleeps through the night :)

Nooooooo!!! Never wake a sleeping baby at night to feed!! Both of mine were sleeping through (not quite 8 hours though!) by 3 and 2 months. I just left them to it at night. Long may it continue for you!!

Rebecca36 · 17/08/2018 23:04

Don't wake him! You are very lucky that he sleeps eight hours at one stretch, he's content and that's good.

BertieBotts · 17/08/2018 23:06

At three months?? No way.

You only wake them when they're really little if they're in danger of being too sleepy to feed.

Just waking now after falling asleep just after 10! Unbelievable!

Definitely not at 3 months...!
Maybe at 3 days old, possibly at 3 weeks of they weren't gaining weight. But at 3 months noooo way!

You are very lucky Grin
