Is this food safe to eat or not?

When putting shopping away yesterday I must have accidentally knocked the fridge electric switch to 'off'. Only realised when I went to take something out of the freezer this evening, found the freezer at fridge temperature. Whereas the fridge was more like room temperature.

It's the meat I'm particularly worried about. I'm not that well off so don't want to throw things out unnecessarily but also don't want food poisoning, and don't want DD (4) to get sick. What is the risk here, would you keep it in there, make it cold again and still eat it?

No. I'd cook it and use it. The electricity must have been off for quite a while if the freezer was down to fridge temperature. I'm usually quite blasé about food but I wouldn't re-freeze meat.

If it were me, I'd just leave it all in the freezer and refreeze, making sure to cook everything thoroughly (mince, chicken etc).
But then I am more blase than lots of people (I sniff-test rather than go by use-by dates for example).

If frozen raw meat has started to defrost, defrost it completely then cook it and you can freeze it again.
