Is Frederick's in Islington still good? Or where to eat in in London?

Where should we go? Two adults, no kids. Frederick's is close by but can easily get to anywhere fairly central!

Sushi Samba appeals to me but girlfriend doesn't eat meat or sushi!

Where would you go?

Frederick's is okay. Over priced and there is better food out there.

I think hawksmore, foxlows , tenshi, bellanger are better.

Bellanger is quite new, the food is good, the booze is great and there is silver service like fredericks which I personally find a bit fussy.

Is Hawksmoor not mostly about steak? So, great for me but not so good for my gf!

Off to look at the rest of those..

Hmm none of the rest of those really fit the bill. I like Lemonia in Primrose Hill and that's what the sort of thing I'm hoping for with Frederick's?

If you want to treat the missis (and yourself) to a fandabbydozy meat free meal you need The Gate; nearest tube is Angel and just beside Sadlers Wells

I am a big meat fan but always had a lovely meal when I visited this place
