What would you do with 4 "me days"

Hi! So ds has gone away with my ex. Dp is away and I'm not in work. Have had a chunk of time already so jobs etc are done, plus I don't want to waste the whole time doing jobs. So, on a very tight budget, what would you do with a few "me time" days. Please inspire me or I'll spend it all sleeping!Grin

Re arrange my furniture, buy new cushions and accessories in a new colour scheme (cheaper than decorating but huge effect)

TrappedByATurtle · 17/08/2018 14:18

I would make a quilt and sort out the loft!

RoseMartha · 17/08/2018 14:21

Go for a walk in countryside. Take a picnic.

Nuggetsandwich · 17/08/2018 14:22

Take food and a blanket to a beautiful peaceful spot to read my book. Preferably a warm sunny spot under a tree or something.

LillyBugg · 17/08/2018 14:23

I would read in a park and not have to worry about supervising any children. Have a coffee and a slice of cake all to myself. I would swim. It's so lovely to swim alone without the hassle of kids. I'd keep my house clean and tidy and enjoy the fact that no one is there to mess it up. I'd go to bed early. I'd eat popcorn in bed and drink hot chocolate and watch shit on tv. Hmmm. My kids are still so small. This won't happen for me for a looooong time.

Mojitomogul · 17/08/2018 14:26

Pop to the shops and have coffee and a browse. Get a bath bomb from lush and have a long hot soak. Pamper my feet, nails and hair! Chill with a book in the sun. Have a tapas style picky dinner bread oil cheese and olives with wine whilst watching a film with candles. 😍Wine

iloveredwine · 17/08/2018 14:28

book a couple of days away somewhere you can lay by the pool and read!

user1471459936 · 17/08/2018 14:30

Run, swim, run, swim, shop, eat, run, swim etc.

MrsBartlettforthewin · 17/08/2018 14:33

Day 1: blitz the house so it will lovely and tidy for the next three days by myself.

Day 2: lazy day, long bath with a book, go to theshop and stock up on my favourite food and drink including the local bakery for treats with out smalls wanting some as well.
Watch a film of my choice etc.

Day 3: go some where lovely and take my sketch pad with me.
Possibly see friends in the evening ( though time seeing no-one sounds blissful)

Day 4: begin to miss the kids but fight through and have another lovely day to myself maybe with a couple of spa treatments.

Theweasleytwins · 17/08/2018 14:42

Major lie ins and crochet

Fighternotalover · 17/08/2018 14:51

Sleep!

LoadsaBlusher · 17/08/2018 15:01

Sit in silence
Read
Have bath in silence
Light candles and place them wherever I like
No cooking , only toast and snacks

I would absolutely LOVE 4 days DC and partner free

I would just love the silence and not having “ Mum Mum Mum “ all day

HalleLouja · 17/08/2018 15:04

I would run, watch crap TV and do some sewing!

5000KallaxHoles · 17/08/2018 15:04

I just had this... being honest (and bloody sad)... I Oven Prided the oven.

DieAntword · 17/08/2018 15:06

Dance around the house to loud music. Long HOT bath. Go up into the hills on the bus and wander for days. Go for a day trip. Read.

theunsure · 17/08/2018 15:09

I would ride my horse and drink wine in the daytime.
I’d also mooch around nice places in my nearest market town and eat cake.
Read, have lie-ins and try and book a massage.

DoubleNegativePanda · 17/08/2018 15:13

DD is going with her dad this weekend and I am about to leave to go dog-sit for my sister which means a whole weekend alone in a different city. I'm planning to finish a crochet project that I haven't had time to work on, drink lots of tea and wine while binging on Netflix, maybe read a book, take the dog for walks, cook food only I like, and SLEEP. So a whole lot of nothing, and it's exactly what I need.

GoldenWonderwall · 17/08/2018 15:16

Sit in blissful silence. Go to the gym and spend as long as I please doing classes and swimming and jacuzzi and sauna. A long hot bath watching rubbish on the iPad followed by a mani pedi. Lots of prawns (allergies in others) and lovely things to eat that I don’t need to cook for long or share with anyone. Get in touch with people to say hi as I don’t normally have the time or headspace. Read some books that have been festering on the kindle for ages. Listen to music with swear words turned up loud. Lie in. If I had a bit of cash I’d spend it on a massage and lunch out somewhere child unfriendly!

DollyDayScream · 17/08/2018 15:17

I would read, go for a walk somewhere pretty, make myself something really special to eat, watch a film or catch up on box sets.

I would also have a good pamper; give myself a facial, manicure and pedicure.

CherryPlum · 17/08/2018 15:20

I'd have leisurely breakfasts - maybe look up some recipes to make my own granola, get my favourite croissants (pain aux raisin!). I'd get a few magazines so I could read in bed while eating brekkie.

Hmm beyond that...I dunno, I'd probably end up staying in bed. Maybe go for a swim, watch loads of TV, go for tea & cake somewhere nearby.

MrsJonesAndMe · 17/08/2018 16:26

Read, sleep, browse shops and have a drink/cake

CakeNinja · 17/08/2018 16:27

I’d call friends and organise a couple of nights out, then spend the following days eating Chinese takeaway Grin
I don’t watch telly/films so I’d sleep, go for walks with borrowed dogs, maybe Go out for lunch.
Gym if time/bothered - I’m ruling it out to be on the safe side Grin

Obviously this it theoretical, no one is taking my dc anywhere Grin

AtSea1979 · 17/08/2018 16:33

Have lie ins. Going to the cinema. Go window shopping and buy a magazine and have a nice coffee somewhere and read it. Buy a lush bath bomb, a Yankee candle, a face mask etc and soak in the bath with a book for a while. Get my hair done, nails etc.

soupmaker · 17/08/2018 16:33

I can't imagine a whole 4 days on my own. But there would be a lot of running and swimming, leisurely lunches in delicious local delis, at least one day walking up a hill, a wardrobe and spare room clear out, and early nights with catch up tv in iPlayer. I'm starting to really like the idea now.

JacNaylor · 17/08/2018 16:38

Thanks everybody, getting some good ideas although sadly going away is out as I've got no money. I may well be able to treat myself to a one off spa day though if there's a good deal on groupon Smile
