Well fitting leggings for skinny 7 yo?

Anyone know where I can get some?

Dd is v picky about her clothes ( drives me potty!) and constantly complains that leggings are either too big at the waist or if they fit there, too short in the leg.

H&M are ok sometimes but their sizing and quality varies so much. The last pair we had fitted well but had holes in them in no time as they were so thin.

Any other suggestions for reasonable quality leggings for slim girls?

I’ve found the joules ones quite long and slim. And thick and good quality.

Next , m and s , Boden

feesh · 17/08/2018 12:58

My ultra skinny 5 year old definitely can’t wear Next, M&S or Boden - they all fall down on her (even sizing down). But Joules and Petit Bateau are the only ones which fit her ok.

Matalan seems to fit my skinny daughter well

Like feesh, next, m&s and Boden are terrible on my 2 skinny girls. I'd say they are on the more generous side size wise.

My 11yr old could quite happily fit in age 5-6 leggings from any of those but they'd only go down to her knees!

La redoute have been quite good for slim fitting things for us.

Occasionally H&M fit my skinny 7 year old but it’s hit and miss!
Next and M&S always too big.
Luckily it’s winter soon so can wear too short leggings with boots!

Gap and Zara are quite slim fitting.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 17/08/2018 15:56

Polarn O.Pyret are fab! Expensive but they have an adjustable waist so fit various sizes and last for ages especially if you then have them as cropped leggings when they grow. They do come up very long though so if your daughter is not tall you may want smaller sizes. My fairly short 7 year old is still comfortably in age 4-6.

Also Diva leggings are great and really cheap but I have only ever found them in one local store to us and never on mail order.

Next and Matalan

Sainsburys fit my slim DD.

25% off TU clothing until Monday as well.

Thanks all. I've ordered some Joules ones from their eBay shop and will keep an eye out for some of the others Smile

Gap and the river island ones with the elastic waistband.

OddestSock · 17/08/2018 22:28

My daughter struggles as well, we’ve recently had some from Gap (but an outlet store) that have fitted brilliantly. They’re her go-to leggings right now.

Verbaudet, plus they always have discounts.
