Which lawnmower do you have?

Posted this in Gardening but no replies so thought I’d ask here. Just moved into new house & garden is mainly lawn.

Any recommendations? Should I get a hover mower? Thinking about strimmer, too.

Advice gratefully received!

I have this one - www.argos.co.uk/product/7366682

Would definitely recommend it, really easy to use, battery charges really fast and lasts very well and it's cordless so no need to worry about mowing over the cord.

Will be watching this as I need a strimmer and looking for recommendations too.

I have an Ego battery one
Its absolutely fantastic as my garden is very long and I rlfreak out at the idea of trailing cords (I can't start petrol ones!)

It was an investment but I'm in love with it and it folds to the size of a pram to store in my tiny shed

Looks like it has good reviews, thanks JL also I like the intelligent cutting system! Might just go and buy this one. Cordless is a bonus.

Hope to hear about strimmers soon! Not the most riveting ofsubjects but helpful to ask!

Thanks, Lewis, I’m worried about cables, too. Where was yours from?

I got it here and it's on sale so very competitivey priced for its power! It's 56v so a lot more guts for my jungle ... I love it and am sad it's on sale 😂

We've got something similar to this Flymo ..it came with a strimmer which we have hardly used.

The strimmer works well but I cant stand the sound of it so don't really use it now.

Being corded is not a problem though think I would look at cordless next time

littlepill · 18/08/2018 10:05

Very helpful, thank you Lewis and Oldraver for those. Will look into it again today... thinking cordless, not too noisy, and powerful... am liking 56v!!!!

A Mountfield petrol one. Yes it's noisy but it's powerful and will cut long grass with no problems. It's also self propelled so mowing up the slope isn't a problem either.
