Are there things you haven’t done/achieved yet that you’d like to?

On the back of a different thread where I’ve been thinking about stuff I have achieved, I am now wondering about stuff I haven’t done or achieved that I’d like to.

I guess the biggest of mine would be travelling to certain places I’ve always wanted to go to. Japan and New Zealand in particular.

Achievement wise I’d like to be in a good place financially (I’d need to be to travel to Japan and New Zealand!)

So, can you hit me with things that you’d like to do that you haven’t yet done?

Yes - I'd like to write a book. Not necessarily to have it published or be successful but just to know I've written something i'm proud of.

I’d really like to travel to Japan too. But also one day I’d like to travel to another country, not as a tourist, but with something to with my painting career ( only 2 years in) maybe to be in a group show or something . Even just across to Australia . I’d feel so fancy - ‘away with work’ ( I live in NZ)

I'd like to do 200mph plus on a motorbike. Speak at least one other language fluently. Oh, and be able to dance.

Work abroad.
Write a book - just to prove to myself I can finish it.
Travel with the kids - can't currently afford this.

I want another baby and to own a house. These two things seem to be one or the other unfortunately.

Build our own home. Have everything where and how we want it, and future proof for old age. Lots of downstairs space, and 3 good sized bedrooms all with ensuite.

We've got the money to do it, but can't find the land sadly.

Finish my book

Travel to every continent except Antarctica

See the northern lights, the pyramids and the ancient civilisations of South America

Have another career

Be a size 10 or at least a healthy 12

Run 10k - I have some issues after pregnancy so this would be a massive achievement for me

Learn piano properly

Hi all
Yes japan for the cherry blossom then on to NZ perhaps we could travel together ghosting and visit you cakemonger !!
I have seen elephants semi wild at Sanbona a nature conservation safari place in South Africa. Absolutely fantastic safari lodge with your own tented wooden cabin gorgeous, but not herds and herds of animals, Kruger etc for that, then surprise I’m doing a northern lights cruise with daughter next year, that’s one off my bucket list
So much world to see so little money
Happy travels to you all

A masters and possibly PHD if I could be arsed. I already have a further education PGCE but I want a masters in English too for apparently no reason at all Grin. I’m considering starting it next year when I return to work after maternity leave. A senior colleague of mine managed her PHD last year alongside working so I know it’s doable, I need to get my head out of my arse.

Japan is a dream of mine too, as is Russia. Will have to wait until my DC age a bit first.
