Unreasonable behaviour from your most cunty relative/friend

Since we all love a tale of batshittery, CFery or general unreasonableness, lets have a place to vent and commiserate over our most unfortunate alliances.

I'll start with a tale of my Great Uncle Dickhead.

GUD was a relative on my maternal side of the family. He was an alcoholic who ran a pub and mismanaged his finances to the extent that he went bust and ended up owing a lot of money to the inland revenue.

My Grandfather on my father's side was an accountant who specialised in dodging the revenue and offered to have a look for a reduced rate and see if anything could be done. It ended up being such a mess that after a lot of work, GF had to tell GUD there was no way out of it and he would have to pay up. GUD kicked off and refused to pay GF for the advice.

GF died a few years later and GUD came to the funeral only to kick off again and tell my GM what a shit accountant GF was and how he had been screwed over. He was told to leave and my DF never spoke to him again for the rest of GUD's life.

Any others?

Dear Daily Mail

My tale of CF starts thus...

9amTrain · 21/08/2018 02:15

A relative who I hadn't heard from in about 2 years, out of the blue messaged me on Facebook and kept trying to call me over and over again while I was in bed... At 2am ... I thought someone had died.

She wanted me to transfer money for fags.

I'm not a journalist! Been 'ere since 2009. Had this name a short while but posted plenty. I know you are a CF magnet Radley but I ain't one.

The phone call late at night thing would drive me nuts as I would 100% assume an emergency.

I've been thinking of this particular incident today, though it happened years ago.

My MIL isn't really a cunt on the whole. We rub along. But I think I lost quite a bit of respect towards early on in our relationship due to this. She had a boyfriend (let's call him George), who had been in DP's and his siblings' lives for at least a decade by this point. A friendly guy, although I never saw that much of him.

Me and DP were visiting MIL, and went with her to meet an old, good friend of hers (let's call her Mildred) as she was keen to meet MIL's new DIL-to-be. All good. At the door, before we knocked, MIL said to us in hushed tones "Remember not to say anything me and George while we're in there. Mildred is George's wife, you see, and she doesn't know about us." Shock Mildred was a lovely lady. Her and Mildred were talking like the best of friends. Mildred had made cake and drinks and it was all so horrible to sit there and watch it.

George and Mildred seemed to fade away from the scene fairly soon, and I don't know if the whole thing ever came to light. My own early impressions of MIL had been very positive, but watching her act like a close friend to a person whose husband she'd been fucking for years definitely changed it for good.

There were later incidences, which confirmed her general two-facedness (is that a word?), and I guess it was good to have known this side of her before it bit me in the arse personally. She doesn't have any close friends anymore, surprisingly, and seems quite lonely in her later years.

Wow!

The barefacedness of it!

A friend I had supported through the breakdown of their relationship and helped get a job when they had been out of work for a year:

  1. Slagged me off to the people I worked with including my boss at the job I had helped them get including disparaging remarks about my mental health to imply I was crazy
  1. Ditched me when my child became seriously disabled- to the extent they wouldn't even give me the time of day in the street, they literally cut me off and that was it

To this day they've never once apologised and they are basically a total cunt

CHRIST OP- that so wasn't directed at you!

I often put a sarky comment on these in case the DM are reading...I meant to follow that up with a story, and didn't!

So sorry!
