Help. Desperate. Been in bad relationship 10 yrs. GF lived in my house 7 yrs. Never paid a single oenny towards anything. Literally. House in my sole name as are all the bills. Over last few years shes run up gambling debts which i have constantly helped her out with.
Said enoughs enough. Gotta go. Done solicitors letter. Gave her 28 days. Now moved 22 yr old son back in. Of course contributing nothing either. Both refusing to go.
They genuinely believe they have every right to simply stay for free.
Irony is she owns her own house which shd rents to her sister!!! Solicitor says she hasnt got a leg to stand on. I cant afford big solicitor fees and courts etc.
Help. Desperate.... really desperate.

Ask the police to remove them? It’s your house, they have no rights to be there.

Call the police - they will escort her out of the building
Change the locks
Allow access for her belongings

Or change the locks when they are out - worth the £80 locksmith fee

You're not married and the house is solely in your name... change the locks? Contact the police?

I assume i can do this because shes neither a tenant or lodger? I am able to change locks myself easily. Sounds too easy!!??

She's had notice, she's no longer welcome.

You have to allow her to obtain her things but you can ask for a police escort to do this.
