How to clean my George Foreman grill. Help!

I hate using it as I can never get the blinking thing clean afterwards!! Doesn't matter how clean I think it is, when I get it out to use again it always seems greasy and stinks (of whatever I last cooked) as soon as it's turned on. Please help me! Confused

I wipe mine with kitchen towel when it's still hot then scrub it with a sponge.

I always use neat washing up liquid, a sponge scourer then rinse, rinse and rinse some more with a damp cloth. If you wipe it with kitchen roll after use to get the lumps off it helps.

Yes the key is to clean it while it's still hot (not so hot that you'll burn yourself obviously!) I always use mine next to the sink so that I can turn it towards the sink and use a washing up brush on it with washing up liquid and direct the dirt down into the sink - if that makes sense!! The lower plate is always messier than the top one, which is easy to clean with a gently scouring sponge.

Damp kitchen towel or a damp cloth whilst it’s still hot Smile

If it’s bogging at the moment, use HG Oven and BBQ cleaner. Then as said above, wipe after use (I’d use Wilko Bicarb spray.)

Maybe that's where I'm going wrong, I always wait til it's cool.
