Being induced at 37+3 weeks

This weekend
Im around 1cm dilated but babies head needs to drop down more and mw couldn't do a sweep

Is there anything I can do to help?

Fwiw
Being induced as last baby was big (this one is plotting bigger), I suffer from pphs which doesnt help and reduced movements

Mw said sit with legs open on ball/ edge of sofa/ stool.
Walking which is very painful due to spd, babys weight and baby back to back

I am getting lots of crampy pains like heavy period and lots of BH (sometimes regular for upto 8 hours then stop)

Anything else I can do?

Thank you

I know babies come in their own time etc
And scans can be wrong and all that
Just wanted to see if there was anything I can do.
Thank you

Anything you can do to keep moving (your hips and pelvis. Can you dance?

You also need to feel safe and relaxed.

Good luck

Ive been sqautting and dancing with the kids but cant do it a lot as feels like everything ia grinding against each other

Im taking regular pain relief which does f.a

I would prob feel more relaxed without all the pain. I do spend a lot of time in a nice hot bath which does help for a while

I honestly don't think there is anything you can do - so just try and rest / not worry about it. Certainly don't do anything that causes pain / discomfort.

@ricstar sounds perfect Grin

Just plodding and getting last house clean done before baby arrives and then will be relaxing a little more.
Would be fab to try and catch up on some sleep!

I was induced. I had a tens machine and it was a life saver as the contractions were non stop. You can hire them from Tesco pharmacy's last minute. Some hospitals also rent them out but I think you need to book it in advance. Defo check out Tesco.

Also, keep moving. Walking and sitting on a Swiss ball helps move things along quicker.

Don't be afraid to ask for pain relief. When you get to the induction ward ask them immediately about gas and air. On my ward they had one canister for ALL the ward. I made sure I got it first Wink

Good luck and just think it's not long until you meet your baby xx Thanks
