What are normal levels of stress?

As a parent what is your breaking point? Is it normal to be tearful by DC bedtime? My four year old is a test at the moment and the baby is whinging because she wouldn’t nap today. She also vommed bright orange shepherds pie over a white sheepskin rug this evening. I dropped her dinner spoon which she promptly shoved down her throat. I have a banging headache and sent 4 yo to his room until DH gets home. I could cope if it was a one off but why am I so regularly failing to just be a normal mum? I’ve been complimented on my parenting in public but all I think is “if only you could see me at home”.

I think maybe taking it less personally might help bit, you;re seeing these things as a reflection of you. Everyone has all this stuff so don;t beat yourself up about it. Kind thoughts
