L’Oréal Elvive men’s shampoo (orange and black bottle)

If you were suing this shampoo, what are you using now? I know several MNers use it, it was recommended to me in here.

It’s been discontinued, and I’ve been unable to find a shampoo that doesn’t make my scalp feel like it’s being eaten by fire ants. I’ve spent £40+ on different ones, nothing works. Even T gel isn’t really helping, plus it smells. I just want to be able use a normal shampoo!

I use this one at the moment, hopefully photo attached, also sometimes use the Body Shop ginger shampoo for a change.

I’ve tried the sensitive one of that range and it’s no good. It was recommended by the advisor at L’Oréal.

Body shop ginger shampoo sounds nice though.

I’ve tried the sensitive as well, neither are as good as the men’s was though, so I switch between them and the ginger shampoo.

Just checked online, and the body shop do a small sample. Will pop over there tomorrow and buy one to try it first.

Head and shoulders do a clinical range, and it has selenium in it. It’s just as good as the L’oreal Was, if a little more expensive. It’s in a cylindrical bottle in a box.

This is the stuff. I went from wanting to tear my hair out to being fine in just about a week.

Following! Have just tried some fancy arsed caffeine shampoo and actually thought it would be better just to fully shave or wax my head to get better access to claw my scalp off with the itching.. (drama llama me? Never!)

ALemonyPea · 16/08/2018 21:30

Shaving my head had crossed my mind.

Dh also uses that new head and shoulders one. It's in a box. I got it from Morrisons

ALemonyPea · 19/08/2018 16:45

So I’ve tried the L’Oréal one and the head and shoulders one recommended above, and they’ve both made my head feel itchy as hell. I’m really getting frustrated, and my scalp is so sore.

Any one else have any suggestions.

GP? You may need something more targeted.

I used nizoral on prescription for years. Generic name ketaconazole. It’s available over the counter and might be worth a punt, but again is quite pricy.

I wish you luck in your search. Anconstantly itchy scalp is demoralising.
