Placed an order with HofF last week - partly paid by gift card, partly by credit card.

Acknowledged and all good.

Now received an email saying tough - can't/won't supply - we'll refund you. A refund on to a gift card is really not much use now.

If Mike Ashley really wants it to be the next Harrods, he might be well-advised to up his service level, and not mess around the customers of his latest acquisition.

Got any insurance on your credit card? Might be worth phoning them.

I might be able to do that GetIn - just more amazed that they are pissing off so many customers, when obviously they have the items in stock, and presumably want to maintain goodwill - or maybe not!

If they'd have emailed to say it's been a busy week, so your stuff might be later arriving, I'd get it!

I went to the Oxford Street one once in desperation having looked everywhere for maternity clothes. I asked if they had any and they directed me to the 5th floor. That's childrenswear. They didn't know the difference.

Im waiting on some dresses, rang this week and was told all deliveries had been suspended but they should be with me by this weekend as everything is getting goin again now.
Also have a gift card with a lot in but told no old gift cards can be used as the system has changed.
Ive got to send it to head office and they will send a new one...

Of course there is now no way for me to prove how much is on it so we shall see...

I once had a conversation with one of Mike Ashley's suppliers, none of which I can repeat, because lawyers.

They seemed to have banned me from ordering on their site. This was ever since they made a fuck up with an order and sent me a refund twice. They never asked for it back.... (I know!!!!) but any subsequent orders I've tried to make have been bounced back. So i just go elsewhere

TBF is has been in the news for months that HofF was on the edge of collapsing and so you should have used the gift card then.

I know Fevertree - spent all mine and nagged everyone - but sadly my 84 year old Aunt thought 'Beatties' would always survive!
