just had my gas and electric bill since my fixed tariff finished im on standard now and cant get a cheaper deal unless i get a smart meter or have an electric car ffs
(not much of a saving anyway)
looked at my online bill in detail and said that i could save £165 on the v16 fixed 1yr that is only avaliable through a price comparison sight which would be a big saving for us
had no idea about this so phoned them up and wanted to know why it was only avaliable like this basically shutting down my account and being treated like a new customer
its ridiculous that the company i have been with for 20yrs cannot offer me this direct so have to go through price comparison.Its not right that customers dont realise this and have to do it this way
im sure lots of people miss out and have no idea how the Utilities get away with overcharging etc but can get a cheaper deal by closing and re opening
so i spent 15mins applying for a new account with the same company i was/am with and will save £165 a year
has anybody else come across this with their supplier
