Filter jug is knackered and I have a hankering for a posh bean to cup instead of replacing the jug.

Tell me about yours please

We have a sage - the mid one I think. Was a bargain second hand (barely used as the owner had died suddenly ) but highly recommend it. Used daily for 18 months now

Following.

DH wants a proper coffee machine - but it is hard knowing which to pick.

Sorry @Troika got sidetracked. I would struggle to be without it now - fall out of bed, hobble downstairs and press two buttons for a cappuccino. But I have a not quite 5 year old and a not quite 2 year old so my need for coffee is high and the time/patience I have to stand there frothing is low. I think we would waste more milk with a manual frothed because it’s difficult to get the quantities right. Plus it’s a fag to do multiple coffees at a time then. DH drinks it black so I’m the only who uses the milk jug. Kids like a babyccino too.

We have the Sage dual boiler with a separate sage bean grinder. It’s great. We did have a delonghi one but it broke after about 2 years, All of them cost a lot tbh. I also have the matching kettle which boils different temperatures for different teas.

Damson I can definitely see the advantages of that! The thing that attracts me to the bean to cup type machine is that the beans can already be in there and you do only have to press a button. I remember when dc3 was a baby just making a pot of coffee sometimes seemed really difficult Blush.

Incrediblysturdypyjamas you have reminded me I have an aero press in our camping kit. I wasn’t that impressed with it (I always made a huge mess with the grounds)when I used it which is why it got relegated to camping stuff. Maybe I should give it another go though.
