Can get to sleep no problem. Sleep for 2 / 3 hours and then lie awake until morning Sad

I hear you. Kettle's on. Game of cards?

Musicaltheatremum · 15/08/2018 03:54

It's awful isn't it. I'm having a cup of tea now. Just suddenly wake up in the middle of the night.

Whatnextfred · 15/08/2018 03:58

It's so shit. I have so so much to do tomorrow. I never actually get up though... maybe I should

Snap! Went to bed knackered at midnight. Was asleep before my head hit the pillow then as usual I was wide awake by 2ish.
Went downstairs, put the kettle on and ate 3 custard donuts.
Back in bed now but no chance of going back to sleep. I've been like this for about 6 weeks. I have no problem falling asleep but like yourselves I wake up after a couple of hours

MozzieMagnet · 15/08/2018 04:08

Feeling your pain. Well aware being on here not fixing it.
Brew Cake

Mine is always bad when I've a lot on my mind. I submit my masters dissertation tomorrow so know that's the problem. Also strikes randomly though. Am up now editing and starting inhaling coffee. Thanks for the company Smile

I'm awake to ffs. I know I will fall back asleep at some point then when it comes to 7am I could sleep for England and struggle to get up.

Just laying here hoping it won't take to long.

bottledatsource · 15/08/2018 04:14

Ooh now I want a custard donut .........

Whatnextfred · 15/08/2018 04:16

I'm buttering a bagel as I type. May as well get the laptop out and make a start on my massive workload for the day. So hard on next to no sleep.

HRT usually stops me waking in the night but this week it isn't doing the trick,
Sympathy to everyone, it really messes up my mood.

Lizzy1980 · 15/08/2018 04:29

I'm on the Hobnobs now.
Will probably nod off at 6 then be woken by my alarm at 6.30, grumpy and knackered with a bed full of biscuit crumbs!

Whatnextfred · 15/08/2018 05:31

Hope you are all back asleep. On the plus side, I'm being very productive. The joy of working when the kids are asleep Grin

Zoflorabore · 15/08/2018 05:37

I jinxed myself last night and said that if I slept to 5am I would be happy, woke up 5.01am Grin

Seriously though I've had enough. Last night I took 2 melatonin tablets as yesterday I was awake at 2.46am and i still couldn't sleep through...

I have fibromyalgia which lists insomnia as one of its symptoms, so chronic exhaustion mixed with chronic pain, a horrible combinationAngry

Comforting to know I'm not the only one but sorry that others are in the same boat.

When my painkillers kick in I usually have a productive hour or so doing mundane tasks that I would leave during the day.
My dd (7) woke up at midday yesterday and it felt like teatime for me.

alison3001 · 15/08/2018 05:38

Same here. Randomly woke up at half 4 and not slept since - this is a good night tho. Now I'm hungry and might get up and have breakfast. 38+3 today and I finish for mat leave so I know it's just stress playing on mind. Good to know I'm not the only one tho Smile

MrsZippyLake · 15/08/2018 05:44

Up until recently, I suffered terribly with insomnia but changing my diet has massively helped especially cutting out gluten. Another friend said the same thing.

LighthouseSouth · 15/08/2018 05:46

I haven't slept at all and Ive taken a pill, so that's a waste of one.

Have filed away all our domestic paperwork that had piled up though. DP will be pleased with that when he gets up.

Newjobnewstart · 15/08/2018 06:11

I've been awake since three can feel myself starting to dose of now but have to leave for work in 20 minutes, it's going to be a long day!

Whatnextfred · 15/08/2018 06:30

Wishing you all the energy to survive the day and hopefully a better night tonight
