Any experience of nocturnal diarrhoea?

My 2 year old has had three nights in a row of horrible nappies while asleep.

She seems fine in the day, eating and drinking normally, plenty of wee. Normal for her to go a couple of days without a bowel movement but she pooed normally during the day on Sunday.

If it were diarrhoea during the day too I’d just think it was a virus/infection and wait for it to pass but it seems strange that this is only at night. No temperature or other symptoms.

Just wondered if anybody had ever had something similar happen with their child?

Is she constipated and it's actually overflow that she is passing overnight?

It doesn’t strike me as overflow - (my eldest had this a few years back and it was very watery whereas this is more like baby poo consistency/lumpy and soft just in a huge quantity and with a foul smell). Her tummy is soft and she’s not been trying to poo during the day. I’ll keep an eye though just in case. Her poo before this started on Sunday was totally normal

Could it be teething poo?

Not sure - she’s never had it before and has all teeth bar four (and there’s no sign of those four)
