Seats!

Posting for traffic sorry Blush
We've booked a holiday with TUI last night, gone to pay to book our plane seats just now and looking at the plan there are non at all together. Like, not even singles in front/behind. We are travelling with an 8,7 and 5 year old.
TUI now closed and I'm panicking, will they be able to seat us remotely near each other?
5 year old will not cope, 8 year old just starting down the diagnostic path for autism and may or may not treat the plane to a meltdown if left alone.
Any experience anyone? Gin

I would suggest phoning them to discuss it. Is there a contact number? When do you leave?

Bellabutterfly2016 · 14/08/2018 21:55

Hey op,
I usually book in the local holiday shop so no first hand experience however I'm sure if you call them when they open again they'll try to help you. If that plane is nearly full there may be a slightly earlier or later flight to go on.
Try not to worry 💐 I know it a a worry but hopefully it'll get resolved. These things always seem worse when shops/ customer services etc are closed but try to rest tonight and phone them first thing x

I had the same problem with jet2 booked a last minute holiday and wasn't able to book seats on the website. We went to the airport early and the jet2 check in woman said kids under 12 have to be seated with a parent so I sat with 2 of my children and my husband with the other one. Same on the way back so think it will be fine

Thank you you angels Smile you're right, I'm just doing the headless chicken 'can't do anything until the morning' dance.
I will go into a branch first thing tomorrow and see what they can do, I hadn't even considered the possibility of a different flight so that's comforting.
I've read sooo many threads on here about people turning up on the day, bosom hoicking if they can't sit together and don't want to be that passenger Grin its a genuine need to even be able to strike DS's head to calm him down.

Blush stroke DS. I will endeavour to not strike him...

It's possible they keep some seats back to sort out situations like this.

So they're telling you that all the seats are booked, when in reality, it might be 80/90% and there are some seats free and when you call/visit the shop, they'll sort it out for you.

SuperTwat · 15/08/2018 11:48

SORTED!
£85 later, but sorted, just in case this happens to anyone else, if you've booked your trip online-the branch cannot help at all (wasted trip) but rang up and got them.
Almost like they know some people won't leave it to chance and will cough up...
