Indesit washing machine IWDD7123 - super long washing times!

I've had an Indesit before that had programs of 1.22 and 1.09 etc. Plus you could also pause the dryer at any time and open.

I just got a new one and it's not the same model (stupid me). The regular daily cotton program is 5 hours!! How can that be?!

Plus I can't how to pause the dryer and open - it just pauses but stays locked.

The blurb about it talks about it having sensors to cut down washing time. I've read the manual but am clearly missing something. Does anyone else have one and can shed light on it for me?

Which? magazine timed the 40C cottons program at 1 hr 56 min. They say programs can range from just over an hour and a half to nearly four hours.

When you pause the washer you might have to wait a few minutes for the door to unlock.

That includes drying time. Washer-dryers are notoriously slow and inefficient. The normal 60 degree programme is 2 hours.

I feel your pain, ours is only a washing machine and lasts 4 hours on the standard 40c cottons wash if full. It must weigh it as it's less when the load is less but really annoying
