Does anyone know if I can speak to a real human at Hermes??

The courier not the luxury brand (unfortunately!)

I bought some things from Zara last week, I received an email to say they would be delivered on Thursday. Thursday evening at 11.30, I get a message to say it was delivered to our porch at 7.30 pm as no one was in. We don’t have a porch, we were in and can see the front door, no parcel or card was left. I was then told the courier still has it and it will be delivered on Friday, same story again. I’ve contacted Hermes every day via chat but nothing is happening, I keep being told it will be delivered in the next 24hrs. Zara are also looking into it.

Does anyone have any ideas if I can speak to an actual human at Hermes about this?? Their phone number is just a robot and hangs up if they can’t help!

Nope... I don't think so. Zara will either re send or have to refund you.

You could knock on their door but I think they'd freak out 😂

No, Hermes are dreadful, I stopped using a supplier because they used Hermes, they never even made it down our road. I knew because by day 5 I was stood outside from "10 deliveries to go".
Eventually the supplier saw sense and shifted back to the Royal Mail, not cheap, but they do the job.

There are not real humans at Hermes.

From the competency of their delivery drivers I would say they are run by a cross between the Zombies from the Walking Dead and a small, below average intelligence chicken.

Best bet is to contact Zara.

Had similar experience with Hermes just yesterday with order from Regatta. I spoke with Regatta, twice, miraculously the parcel arrived last night unsigned for! But said 'signed' on tracking & let Regatta know. Apparently sometimes they claim 'lost in transit' & claim so might be worth letting Zara knowSad

I had similar recently. I couldn't figure out where my parcel. I messaged Hermes on Facebook in the end and theu did actually respond and my parcel was delivered the next day. Definately worth a try if you have facebook. Good luck!

I had to email them about my local courier because he is absolutely awful and hammers down the door which shits me up, then he hammers on the living room window and peers through... He also gives you one second to answer before he runs off. They emailed back fairly quickly and resolved it so they weren’t terrible in my case.

I’ll try Facebook, thanks Planejayne.

Zara are looking into it as well. There are several people in our village waiting for Hermes parcels. It’s SO frustrating! Why do all the big companies use them??

When our Hermes driver does turn up he just throws the parcels into the middle of the front lawn. Part of me wonders if he’s gone on holiday for a week and hasn’t told anyone Grin

Nope.

I had issues with them years ago. They were delivering ££££ worth of parcels to the wrong address. Never got full refunds. Whenever stuff was resent it was via bloody Hermes. Only found it out when I was chatting to a lady who lived two roads over who'd just moved in to find a pile of 'sorry we missed you' cards in her letterbox.

Hermes are impossible to deal with. I think I managed to talk to the depot, who refused to deal with me. They generally advise you contact the retailer who used them.

dingdongdigeridoo · 14/08/2018 20:39

I think Hermes have a live chat with a link on the tracking page. Although that might just be for bigger items. You usually just end up going back and forth to the retailer though.
