booking.com price match

Hoping someone here can advise me.
I found a break for the upcoming bank holiday, exactly the same break advertised by both booking.com and air bnb. Air bnb were £40 cheaper but we noticed that booking.com offered a price match promise if the same break was cheaper elsewhere so we decided to book with them as we'd used them before.
After emailing booking.com to request a price match I received no reply so then emailed a second time. This time I did receive a reply asking me to send a screenshot of the break on airbnb and a link to it, which I did. Again, didn't hear anything so had to chase it up again. Few days later I had a reply saying that they couldn't provide a price match as they had compared the photographs and it wasn't the same place...
It most definitely is the same place and this is glaringly obvious in the photographs, I don't know how they can even suggest it isn't!
It's a lodge with the same name and house number, in the same location (with the exact same address), owned by the same lady and is identical in the photographs.
Would be really grateful if anyone has any suggestions on how I could get them to honour their agreement. Trading standards? An ombudsman of some sort? Because it's really not on to advertise for something they're not willing to fulfil. I would've booked with air bnb in the first place if I had any idea that they wouldn't.
I've had an absolute gutsful of their customer service too. Ignoring me / taking days to reply and then blatantly lying their arses off in a really patronising manner! Urrr!
Anyway, if anyone could offer any advice I would be really grateful!
Thanks in advance.
