I'm also thinking about this - I've done so many diets and can't seem to find something that works well for me so thinking of giving this a try. Had a look at the WW board but it seemed a bit dead. I'm worried that weight loss might be really slow though - I know it's better to lose slow and steady but I've put quite a lot of weight on in a short time and I have a holiday in 12 weeks so I'd love it if I could lose a decent amount in that time. Have you done WW before?

Would love to hear experiences of people on it currently,

xx

I was a SW girl for 24 years going up and down and gaining more and more. I joined WW 12 weeks ago and lost 2 stones in the 1st 10 weeks. I absolutely love the plan and for the first time in my life am finding it easy to manage when things don't go to plan if that makes sense. I have had my birthday and a holiday in the last 3 weeks and have been able to get straight on plan after the days off.
There are zero point foods but the emphasis is very much to have a portion of them rather than eating free food . For me, SW's free food made me eat huge portions of potatoes and pasta rather than just until I was full . My brain just thought Free food, free food!
I am also thinking of both short term goals and accepting that it will take a year to achieve

Thanks for this I think I will give it a goGrinxx

I've lost 8 stone on WW over 2 years, but I don't use/eat any WW products as they are shite and over priced

littlepeas · 14/08/2018 11:16

I am doing it - I find it very easy, but am pescatarian and it is very much geared up for my diet (fish, eggs, beans, lentils, fruit, veg are 'free'). Weight loss has been quite slow for me - 0.5lbs to 1lb per week, but this is sustainable weight loss and a sustainable way to eat, so I am not too worried about that. I don't eat any ww branded food, or any fake crap (like fry lite).

KitKat1985 · 14/08/2018 11:19

I find it fairly easy to follow (although tracking everything does get a bit dull) and sensible in that I think it's a healthy way to lose weight. I agree that I have found the weight loss a bit slow though.

Gemi33 · 14/08/2018 15:36

I do worry about slow weight loss - I tend to get demotivated if it's too slow! I had been thinking of trying something like exante to lose a decent amount before my holiday but haven't been able to stomach the products! Do people find the meetings helpful?

Bouncy71 are you thinking of going to class or doing it online? Do you have much to lose?

xx

Bouncy71 · 14/08/2018 17:23

Online rather than classes as they don't have any near home in an evening Smile

I'm still thinking about it - I think because I've failed so many times before I'm a bit doubtful about trying again but I feel like I have so much to lose.

I think I would find it difficult to fit in meetings but also thinking they could be helpful to keep motivated.

Does anyone go to the meetings? How do you find them?

xx

hilbil21 · 15/08/2018 11:16

Flex is great, are you on Facebook?

Gemi33 · 15/08/2018 14:36

Yes I am on Facebook.

Is anyone willing to share what they've lost doing WW Flex - I would love to hear how people have done...

xx

hilbil21 · 15/08/2018 16:03

I've lost 2 stone. There's a few good groups on Facebook if you search for weight watchers flex

Gemi33 · 16/08/2018 08:21

Thanks. Do you go to the meetings?

xx

Lilmisskittykat · 16/08/2018 08:30

Happy to share my experience

We joined as a family :-

I lost 1stone - now gold member

Mum lost 1stone 8lb - now gold member

Husband 2 stone 7lb but left as he would have had to go the doctors for them to agree his goal weight to become goal member he just uses the app now

I really found it worked for us, and once got into the swing of finding meals etc it was pretty good going. We joined using the three month deal on the ww website and all hit our goals in that time (that kinda gave it a focus)

I find now I can enjoy my weekend and just track weekdays to stay at goal so seems very manageable

elf1985 · 16/08/2018 08:53

I am a chronic sw abuser. Loose 7 lbs every time and then can't get any further no matter how hard i "try". I started ww 9 weeks ago and have lost 1st 7.5 lbs! I love it. It really hasn't been that hard either. Go for it.

Bouncy71 · 17/08/2018 06:58

Thanks everyone I am starting today Confused xx
