Help! Brio/John Lewis train sets.

Are the John Lewis own brand wooden train sets compatible with Brio ones?

I have promised DS that I will buy him some pieces of train set that he has seen in John Lewis as a -bribe- reward if he is brave at settling in at nursery and doesn't cry for me, so I need to know urgently if it will be compatible with the Brio pieces he has already.

(He has already been to a few settling in sessions and is fine for a while but then demands my return. I'm hoping an inducement of a new toy will help him refocus!)

Yes they are
My youngest son is 37 and we still have his original Brio train set
Have added John Lewis to it and they are absolutely fine
Also look at Big Jigs...they are also compatible

Yes, we have John Lewis and brio, definitely compatible.

Yes. Much cheaper too. The only track we’ve struggled to match with brio has been Ikea.

Lidl often have train track and accessories in. The track is excellent, the vehicles and buildings are rubbish.

Thanks all. Settling in is going well so far so a shopping trip may be on the cards, fingers crossed!
