Learning to swim

Today was my first swim lesson. It was frustrating, scary and exhilarating at the same time. There were a lot of adults and just two teachers teaching from the side so didn’t feel like got a lot out of it. I lost my balance twice and swallowed a lost of water so that was quite scary. Did some floating on my back at the end.

Can you have a private lesson? Doesn’t sound the teachers are any good.

Well done for going. That sounds fairly typical for an adult class. I always end up swallowing loads of water. Losing your balance must have been scary. Good news about floating on your back. I would give it a couple more lessons. You may find as the weeks go on the teachers personalise it a bit more ( once they know peoples abilities). I had my first private lesson last night and still felt frustration at not being able to do it all.. although I actually did bits... i’m too impatient for my own good

If you can manage to find a local teacher who is good maybe approach the, about a private lesson. If you are in cambridgeshire area pm me and I will give you some good teachers who do one on one adult lessons and are amazing!
