Any recommendations for a tracker for a child?

There's a backstory that I won't be telling you, but I need to know that my 14 yo DS is where he claims to be (because he often hasn't in the past, and it has turned out badly). He's not allowed to have a smart phone at school, or I would use that to track him. So I need an easy tracker that he can carry in his pocket or backpack. He will know it's there and will tolerate it because at the moment he's not allowed to leave the road we live on without an adult accompanying him.

There are so many on Amazon and I don't know what sort of features I should be looking at, so any tips would be welcome. Thanks.

We have one from Weenect for our DD who is 6 (walks to and from school on her own, not in UK).
It has an app where you can monitor where they are but also set geofences so you get an alert if they move out of a certain radius.
It also has a SIM card for which you can pay a monthly fee from €3 which gives the possibility of calling the tracker if there are any issues.
It fits in the palm of your hand and has a clip and cover.
It’s worked really well for us so far. Hope that helps!

Thanks Welshcake, I’ll have a look at that.
