Sounds really horrible. Rest today and try and be kind to yourself. You havent ruined anything xxx

Gramgram · 13/08/2018 14:54

Rest up today and look after yourself. Flowers. You haven't ruined the holiday, you've got tomorrow and however long the holiday lasts.

Take care.

IncrediblySturdyPyjamas · 13/08/2018 14:54

You've not ruined anything.

Be kind to yourself. Text your partner to see if he knows where the painkillers are.

TheCrowFromBelow · 13/08/2018 14:57

You haven’t ruined anything Flowers

They’ll have had a great time at the beach today with DP. Rest today and try and join them tomorrow.

Hope you find the painkillers - are they in the wash bag or tucked in the pocket of your suitcase?

My lovely, wonderful DM used to frequently get the most horrible 3 days migraines. She used to vomit, have light sensitivity, balance issues...

Which meant that I (being the oldest of 4) got a lot of extra duties during these days.

I didn't feel like she was ruining anything. I was mostly pissed at the 2nd oldest sibling (the older of my two brothers...) for being making more work / being the opposite of helpful despite being a mere year younger than I am... Grin

What I'm trying to say: I don't think your family feels like you ruined anything.
I'm sure they just want you to take care of yourself / feel better.

But please feel free to whinge as much as you want on mumnset. :)!

Could you call your DP to bring painkillers on the way back home?

Or maybe room service? Ice might help for the mouth. (Idk..)

Excellent..
I always find “treasure” in my suitcase pocket (usually an old sock or the toothpaste I looked for all holiday ) so I’m pleased you found an added chocolate bonus!

MeltingPregnantLady · 13/08/2018 15:46

Rest up and let your kids be spoiled by their dad for the day.

Neurological events are horrible and I always end up wiped out for a couple of days each holiday with a migraine then a further couple of days in recovery from the "hangover" phase. Be kind to yourself, the more you rest the more likely you are to enjoy the rest of the trip.

I hope you're eating the Crunchie Smile

Gentle shoulder pats from me, I know how you feel. My epilepsy has been playing up, had a big tonic clonic on Friday am (also nocturnal) and I couldn't go on the one day out we had arranged this holiday, after I scrimped and saved for the tickets and the DC were looking forward to it Also bit my tongue and felt like I'd run a marathon!

DH still took the DC and sent me photos/videos which was nice. I rested up and really needed it, tbh. I know it's so hard when you feel the pressure to have a good holiday, but it's only a couple of days out of their lives and they will remember the things you did do with them, not the things you didn't. Well I keep telling myself that anyway Wink

I also tell myself nocturnal/waking seizures aren't the worst as injury risk is less, but I do find them really a shock and and hard to "understand", I always cry a lot afterwards regardless of pain levels.

I really hope you feel a bit better soon, and are getting some good rest BrewFlowers

So, it's not all bad - you found a crunchie!!
