Posting here as really need answers today.

Ok so my friend, 'Jane' split with her partner 'dave' it's very acrimonious.

Jane remains in the rented house which was a joint tenancy. Dave has contacted the landlord and asked to. E removed from tenancy. Ll agreed but did not produce a new tenancy. So that's that bit.

Jane has tried repeatedly to arrange to dave to fetch his stuff. He has been quite awkward but now states he is coming tomorrow to fetch his stuff. Most is in the garage which can be accessed without going in the house.

Dave has listed some other large items which are in the house - ok fine they can be placed ready in the garAge no problem.

He is staying he needs access to the house. Jane doesn't want this. There is no as yet disputed over any specific items.

What's the legal position? Da present so Jane won't be there at collection time but other family members can.

Why does he need access to the house? He isn't on the contract anymore so has no right to go in to the house.

@user1471459936 there isn't paper evidence of this though. He hasn't specified exactly. Just want to know if he is entitled or not?
