In a new relationship, been together a couple of months now, but has become fairly serious pretty quickly due to doing long distance and only seeing eachother at weekends.

Its his birthday next weekend, and hes traveling to my home town to spend the weekend with me.

I need ti get him a present that isnt too expensive/showy cos its still fairly early days, but i want it to be nice, something a bit different, and memorable/thoughtful...

Hes early 30s, into music, both playing and listening to. We both work for the same company but in different regions so i could get him something work related, but i dont know if thats a bit boring?

Any ideas for a romantic present for a fairly new boyfriend...?

I once worked with a girl who bought herself some nice underwear and gave it to her bf as a present.

Tickets to some music event or something to do with whatever he plays eg you can get silver engraved plectrums. Obviously no good if he plays clarinet. Suggested engraving the longitude/latitude of where you met, or where you live.

IWOOT always have some fun things, I have got star wars chopsticks and a deathstar lampshade.

I have a Bluetooth light bulb in the bathroom, you can play music through it and set the lights to change colour.

Empty a drawer / cupboard for him to keep his things at yours?

Do you drive or use the train to visit each other? A travel mug for the train would be thoughtful.

Does he sing?

I would go for a card and tickets to something you'd both enjoy.

I was going to get gig tickets for an artist that he really likes, and that hes introduced me to. They are playing in my home town at the end of the month sp would have been perfect, but he cant get the time off work, and tickets in other places are all sold out.

He's just bought a house so will be moving soon, needs everything fpr that, but that seems a bit too practical, or if i go for a picture or something like that, it seems a bit too personal, for knowing his tastes and styles etc.

Ill have another look for gig stuff, that would be the best idea if i can fimd something that suits.
