Dh turns in to mr chatty chatterbox when we get in to bed. He thinks of random subjects or starts wanting to make plans for outings in the coming week.

Tonight it’s ‘what time should dd and I (he) leave for the theatre on Wednesday and what route would be best?’

I suffer with insomnia (staying asleep not getting to sleep) and I’m trying to instill quiet time, no tv etc. I know I shouldn’t be on my phone either but baby steps.

He has the tv on, sighs, coughs over nothing, sniffs.

Anyone care to give me an alibi? Wink

Maybe get into bed an hour earlier to factor time in for this, or just tell him to talk to you about it before bed.

Is there another room you could sleep in? If you did that and explained why, he might get the message.
