University as a mature student

If you went to uni as a mature student, how did you find it? I am preparing to start my Ucas application when it opens for 2019 and am feeling a bit overwhelmed.

I went to university as a young person (four year course) and again, years later as an oldie. The second time was quite different, I'll admit, but just as much fun, just in a different way.

My advice... don't think too deeply about any differences between you and other students. You'll soon have a lot in common.

How old are you, OP?

I was 25 when I went and the only person who seemed to care about me being older was me. My uni had a mature students induction week the week before the normal uni year started, which was very useful in meeting other mature students and I was one of the youngest on that. Definitely worth seeing if any places you apply to do anything similar.
