Just discovered nits in DS hair! Is there anything I can do tonight before the shops open tomorrow to buy a treatment?

I’m sitting here with Hedrin on Grin

I once used mayonnaise on advice from a friend, it does the same thing as Hedrin really. Smother in on, wrap the scalp in cling film and they all suffocate. It’s a bugger to wash out but it leaves the hair lovely and silky.

Pop him in the bath and wash his hair then cover in conditioner leave it on while you comb through with a nit comb, you should remove loads of nits. Will need to use a treatment as it won't kill the eggs. Rinse as normal when you think you have removed all of them.

Do you have any Vodka in the house😂?
Years ago, when Dd1 had nits I was told to rise her hair with vodka. She never got got them again when her classmates did.

Thanks for tips everyone! Conditioner and combing has got rid of a few for now.
I think I'll just drink the vodka to forget about them until tomorrow Grin

Vinegar helps break the 'glue' that sticks them to the hair shaft.

Cheapie conditioner to help suffocate them and comb out easier.

Get yourself a NittyGritty comb ( they were about £10 when I bought one years ago - nothing else comes close.
